The ‘Gupta period’ is called as Golden Age because the period is associated with a number of discoveries and inventions during that phase. The discoveries were more to do with the Hindu culture. There were many inventions in regards to technology and science during the period.  

The discovery of various subjects of art, literature, mathematics dialectic, logic, astronomy, philosophy, and religion was also associated with the Gupta period. A ‘Chinese traveler’ Faxian visited India during that time and he had recorded all his observations in a journal which he released later.
