Answer:

HCF and LCM of given numbers is 12 and 720 respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

HCF ( Highest Common Factor ) is the highest factor which is common in all given numbers. It is also know as greatest common Divisor that is GCD.

LCM ( Least Common Multiple ) is the Smallest Multiple which is common in all given number.

we need to find HCF and LCM of 48 , 72 & 60.

We use prime factorization method to find HCF and LCM,

48 = 2 × 3 × 2 × 2 × 2

72 =  3 × 3 × 2 × 2 × 2

60 = 2 × 3 × 2 × 5

HCF = 2 × 2 × 3 = 12

LCM = 2 × 2 × 3 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 = 720

Therefore, HCF and LCM of given numbers is 12 and 720 respectively.
