By factoring method : LCM of 65 and 117 is 585

Now, as we know that : Product of numbers = (HCF×LCM)

According to the question :

65 \times 117 = (65m - 117) \times 585 \\ \\ = > 7605 = (65m - 117) \times 585 \\ \\ = > 65m - 117 = \frac{7605}{585} = 13 \\ \\ = > 65m - 117 = 13 \\ \\ = > 65m = 117 + 13 = 130 \\ \\ = > m = \frac{130}{65} \\ \\ = > m = 2

Now, HCF = 65×2–117

=> HCF = 13
