Solution :-

Given ,

  • HCF = 4
  • LCM = 168
  • First number = 12

We need to find ,

  • Second number

As we know that,

  • Product of numbers = LCM × HCF

Let the second number be x

Now , substituting the known values

⇒ 12 × ( x ) = LCM × HCF

⇒ 12x = 168 × 4

⇒ x = ( 168 × 4 ) ÷ 12

⇒ x = 168 ÷ 3

x = 56 = other number .

Hence , the other number = 56.

Answer:

✳️ Given ✳️

\mapsto The H.C.F of two numbers is 4 and their L.C.M is 168. If the first number is 12.

✳️ To Find ✳️

\mapsto What is the value of other number.

✳️ Solution ✳️

Let the second number be x

Given :-

  • H.C.F = 4
  • L.C.M = 168
  • First number = 12

We know that,

\red\bigstar H.C.F × L.C.M = Product of the two numbers \red\bigstar

✴️ Putting the value we get,

\implies 4 × 168 = 12 × a

\implies a = \dfrac{4 × 168}{12}

\implies a = 56

\therefore The other number will be 56.
