- First number = 12
We need to find ,
- Second number
As we know that,
- Product of numbers = LCM × HCF
Let the second number be ‘x’
Now , substituting the known values
⇒ 12 × ( x ) = LCM × HCF
⇒ 12x = 168 × 4
⇒ x = ( 168 × 4 ) ÷ 12
⇒ x = 168 ÷ 3
⇒ x = 56 = other number .
Hence , the other number = 56.
