Heavy industry involves heavy products; large and heavy equipment and facilities large machine- tools, and huge buildings or complex of numerous complex processes.
The transportation cost ,power requirements,technology and large shipment and space at harbours etc all make it a costly affair.
All these factors involved in establishing and running heavy industry involves higher huge capital investment.
