The ancient Hebrews were polytheistic who believed in various deities that represents different kinds of forces of nature and served various tribes and nature. Early Hebrew started to talk about God and they thought God is one and creator of all existence in the world. Early Hebrew gave a name to god as Elohim. Hebrews believed that god is powerful and merciful. They didn’t represent god in a human form, they represent god as a universal god.
