Given :-

  • The height of a cone is 16 cm.

  • The base radius of cone is 12 cm.

To Find :-

  • The slant height of a cone.

Solution :-

We know that,

l² = h² + r²

I = +

We have,

  • r = 12 cm

  • h = 16 cm

Finding the slant height,

I = √ h² + r²

I = √ 16² + 12²

I = √ 256 + 144

I = √400

I = √ 20 × 20

I = 20 cm

Hence, The slant height of a cone is 20 cm.

256+144

l=20cm

curved surface Area,

C.S.A=πrl=3.14×12×20=753.6cm

Total surface Area,

T.S.A=πr(r+l)=3.14×12[12+20]=1205.76cm
