The height of a cone is 16 cm and its base diameter is 24 cm. Find the curved surface area and the
total surface area of the cone.(Use T = 3.14)

the height of cone is 16 cm .

and diameter of the base is 24 cm .

So the height is ? .

we know that,

 {l}^{2}  =  {h}^{2}  +  {r}^{2}

l ^{2}  =  {16}^{2}  +  {24}^{2}

 {l}^{2}  = 256 + 576

l ^{2}  = 832

 {l}^{2}   = \sqrt{832}

 {l}^{2}  = 28.84(approx)

curved surface area =

3.14×24×28.84

=> 927.4944

total surface area =

3.14×24(24+28.84)

=>

 {800.68 \: cm \: }^{2}
