Volume scale factor = 1/27
Linear scale factor = ∛(1/27) = 1/3
Height of small cone = 1/3 x height of large cone = 1/3 x 30 = 10 cm
∴ The large cone is cut at 30 - 10 = 20 cm above the base
Linear scale factor = ∛(1/27) = 1/3
Height of small cone = 1/3 x height of large cone = 1/3 x 30 = 10 cm
∴ The large cone is cut at 30 - 10 = 20 cm above the base
