The height of a cylinder is double its radius. If the radius of the cylinder is r cm what is its total surface area

Answer:

let the height be h cm.

radius =r cm

according to the question

h = 2r cm

TSA of cylinder = 2 πr ( r + h)

= 2 π r ( r + 2r)

= 2 π r ( 3r)

= 6 π r^2

so the TSA of cylinder is 6πr^2
