Total surface area of prism = ? h is the height of prism. here base is a right angled triangle (because 3, 4, 5 is a triplet) Base and Height will be 3 , 4 cm or 4, 3 cm and 5 will be hypotenuse. So, total surface area of given prism is 126.....

Hope it helps you...

GIVEN :-

  • Height of a Triangular Prism = 10 cm

  • Sides of the base = 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm

TO FIND :-

  • Total surface area

SOLUTION :-

We know that,

  • Total Surface Area (TSA)

  • Area of Base (B)

  • Perimeter of the Base (p)

  • Height of the Prism (h)

By applying TSA of Triangular Prism formula

TSA = B + p × h

Here ,

⇝Base is a right angled triangle because 3, 4, 5 is a triplet.

⇝Base and Height will be 3 , 4 cm or 4, 3 cm and 5 will be hypotenuse.

Now ,

Formula for Base (B) :-

   \star  \red{B =  \frac{1}{2}  × Base × Height} \star

B =  \frac{1}{2}  ×3×4 = 6cm  {}^{2} {}

⇨6+ (3+4+5) × 10

⇨ 6 + 120

⇨126

 \therefore T.S.A  \: of \:  Triangular \:  Prism \:  is  \\  \pink \rightarrow {126 \: cm}^{2}
