The hills and mountain ranges of Dima hasao district in Assam belongs to borail mountain range. It is highest mountain range in Assam. Thumjang is the highest pick in Borail range which is about 1866 meters and Hempeupet is th second highest pick which is about 1748 meters. the another vrange is khartheng range from Dittokcherra to Garampani. It is spread over 326.24 km, which means , most of the part of this district is covered by this hills. and this Borail range is part of Himalyan mountain range.
