Answer:

h = 14 cm

R = 7 / 2

Thickness = 1cm

r =  \frac{7}{2}  - 1

  =  \frac{7 - 2}{2}

 =  \frac{5}{2}

TSA = 2 pi ( R + r ) ( R - r + h )

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7} ( \frac{7}{2}  +  \frac{5}{2} )(  \frac{7}{2}  -  \frac{5}{2}  + 1)

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7} ( \frac{12}{2} )(2)

 =  \frac{1056}{14}

TSA= 75.42

Concept

In mathematics, Cylinder is a three dimensional solid

Given

1) Hollow Cylinder

2) Height 14cm

3) Diameter 7cm

4) Thickness 1cm

Find

Total surface area

Solution

We are given that

h = 14

D = 7

R = 7/2

As it is a hollow cylinder

Internal radius = r

r = 7/2 - 1

r = 5/2

TSA = 2π(R+r)(R-r + h)

= 2 * 22/7 (7/2 +5/2)(7/2 - 5/2 + 14)

= 44/7 * 6 * 15

=75.42

The Total Surface Area of hollow cylinder height 14 cm with an outer

diameter of 7cm and thickness of 1 cm is 75.42cm²
