Explanation: Pneumatophores are aerial roots which come above the gound for exchange of gases. Generally it is present in mangroves and swampy areas or near the marshy areas where underground waterlogging is there so exchange of gases didn't take place smoothly. Moreover, it is an adaptation of a root to these plants.
