v=250v

R=625ohm

I=?

I=V/R

I=250/625

I=2/5

I=0.4A

we know that,

P=VI

P=250×0.4

P=100watt

The current and power rating is 0.4 A and 100 W

Given - Volt and resistance

Find - Current

Solution - The current will be calculated using ohm's law. The formula is as follows-

V = I × R, where v is voltage, I is current and R is resistance.

Keep the values in formula to find the value of current taken by the lamp.

I =  \frac{250}{625}

I = 0.4 Ampere

Now, the power rating can be calculated as per the known information by the formula -

P = V × I, P refers to power.

Keep the values in formula to calculate power.

P = 250 × 0.4

P = 100 W

Hence, the current and power are 0.4 A and 100 W.
