let ABC be the isosceles triange

let AC be the hypo

as given it is isosceles triangle 2 sides are equal

therefore AB=BC

by pythagoras theorem

AC^2=AB^2+BC^2

AC^2=(4root2)^2 +(4root2)^2

AC^2=16(2)+16(2)

AC^2=32+32

AC^2=64

AC=root64

AC=8cm

therefore the hypotenus of isosceles triangle is 8 cm
