The image of the point (3,4) in x-axis has the coordinate ?

we know that, when a point is reflected in x-axis, x coordinate = remains same . y coordinate = becomes negative.

Answer:

When P(3,4)P(3,4) is reflected on x-axis, the x coordinate remains the same whereas the y coordinate changes sign.

Thus, P′=(3,−4)

Now the origin O(0,0)O(0,0) is reflected on line PP′PP′. This is similar to reflecting on y-axis, as PP′∥PP′∥ y-axis. Thus, the y cordinate will remain same and x-axis will change. Here O(0,0)O(0,0) is 3 units distant from the left of PP′PP′Then, O′O′ would be also be 3 units distant of PP′PP′ but to the right. Thus O′O′ would be at (6,0)
