It's a phrase echoed by the founder of the Olympics, Baron Pierre de Coubertin, who said "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well."

Answer:

The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part; the essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well.” Achieving personal best in anything that you do, including if you compete in the Olympic Games is the best possible outcome. The picture in this post is of my team leading a race in the Olympic Games and ultimately ending up second overall for the day. We had never been in the top 3 in the results at any time in our journey so this was a personal best. We did not end up on the podium but we did achieve a personal best.
