Step-by-step explanation:

Let his initial income and increased income be x and x + 800 respectively.

x/x + 800 = 10/13

=> 13x = 10(x + 800)

=> 13x = 10x + 8000

=> 13x - 10x = 8000

=> 3x = 8000

Hence, x = 8000/3

Increased income = (8000/3 × 13)

=>104000/3

Answer) Hence his increased income 104000/3 rupees.

Given :-

  • The income of a man is increased in the ratio 10 : 13. If the increase in his income is 800 per month

To find :-

  • New income

Solution :-

★ Let the income of man be x

According to the question

→ Old income/New income = 10/13

★ If the increase in his income is 800 per month

→ x/ x + 800 = 10/13

→ 13x = 10(x + 800)

→ 13x = 10x + 8000

→ 13x - 10x = 8000

→ 3x = 8000

→ x = 8000/3 = 2666.6

Hence,

  • New income = x + 800 = 2666.6 + 800 = Rs.3466.6
