The indo gangantic plains get some rainfall in the months of December and January.Why?

it is because of returning mansoon ( in other words mansoon enter from Kerala in India in month of June ) and till September these mansoon wind reach to Himalayan mountains .but in December January it returns to indian ocean .that why rain in northern side of India
