The initial velocity of a body moving with uniform acceleration of 1.2 m s-2 is 3 m s-¹. Final the velocity after 8 second and also the distance travelled in this time. What is the velocity after it has covered 6 ⅔ [Ans. 12.60 m s-¹, 62.4 m, 5 ms-¹

If a = 1.2m/s²

u = 3m/s

by, v = u + at

After 8 sec velocity will be,

v = 3 + (1.2×8) = 12.6 m/s

Distance travelled,

S= ut + 1/2 at² = 24 + 1/2×1.2×64 = 62.4 m

Velocity after 20m,

v² - u² = 2as

v=√(u²+2as) = √{3²+(2×1.2×20)}

v= 7.55 m/s
