The inner core of the Earth is said to be solid, although its uncertain whether its actually solid or the semi-solid state is forced to act like solid due to great heat and pressure.

It is sugested that the core is made of huge iron crystal and the outer core which surrounds it is liquide and constitutes 30% of Earths weight.

Due to the immense pressure caused by the upper layers of Earth, the inner core acts like its solid which does not come as a surprise.
