Inter latitude space remains constant ,  it is inter longitude space that does not  remain constant beacause of variation in thickness of earth at poles and equator is different.

Latitude is a coordinate that is used to tell how far a point is from the north or from the south on the surface of the earth. Measures used to depict these coordinates vary from 0 degrees to 90 degrees at the poles. It is from the fact that these lines are always parallel to each other and thus the distance between them remains constant. This distance between two consecutive latitudes is 111km.
