volume of box=120*80*50=480000cm^3
volume of cube= 343
 so, number of cubes=480000/343=1399.41=1399

mathbubble8: Sorry. But the answer is wrong. Its 1309 : 31,013cm³

maximum number of cubes along the length = [120/7] =[17.1]=17
maximum number of cubes along the breadth = [80/7] =[11.4]=11
maximum number of cubes along the height = [50/7] =[7.1]=7

Total number of cubes = 17*11*7 = 1309

volume of 1309 cubes = 1309*7³ = 448987 cm³
volume of box = 120*80*50 = 480000 cm³
empty space = volume of box - volume of 1309 cubes=480000-448987=31013 cm³
