area to be painted= lsa of room

lsa=

2(l + b) \times h

so,

2(10+5) *4

=2*15*4

2*60

=120sq m

so, total cost

=120*60=7200rs.

hope it helps...

The total cost of painting the four walls of a room is Rs. 7200.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The length of cuboidal room (l) = 10 m,

the breadth of cuboidal room (b) = 5 m and

the height of cuboidal room (h) = 4 m,

To find, the cost of painting the four walls of a room = ?

We know that,

Lateral surface area(LSA) of room = 2(l + b) × h

= 2(10+ 5) × 4

= 2(15) × 4

= 120m^{2}

The total cost of painting the four walls of a room

= 120 × Rs. 60

= Rs. 7200

Hence, the total cost of painting the four walls of a room is Rs. 7200.
