The Ionisation Enthalpy of element of 2nd group is higher then corresponding group of 13 group. Why? ​

Group 2 elements have ns^2 configuration which is a stable configuration. So the energy needed to remove the electron is more. Whereas group 13 has ns^2np1 electrons which are easily removed. Thus the ionisation energy of group 13 is less than that of group 2.
