The disappointed jackal went back to the jungle. When the other animals saw
this blue-coloured jackal, they too ran away in terror. When the jackal realized
that all the animals were afraid of him, he called the animals and said, "Why

The animals were convinced and readily became his subjects. One evening, the
blue jackal heard a pack of jackals howling at a distance. He was so happy that
he too began to howl like them. When the lion and other animals heard this, they
realized how they had been fooled by the jackal. They immediately chased him out.​
