Kerosene gas stoves basically have a simple structure. Externally we can see all the perforations made all over the stove which act as air inlets inside the chamber where combustion occurs.
Oxygen is very much needed for combustion, lack of oxygen demotes combustion, and without it, it's impossible to create a fire. Thus if there was no air inlet in the stove, the kerosene would burn till it gets oxygen from the initially remained air inside. So to make the combustion a continuous process perforations are made.
