Step-by-step explanation:

Two numbers Ax, Bx

Lcm of them ABx

Hcf of them x

Multiple of them ABx^2

Now ,

Lcm/ hcf = AB

This AB is the product of the ratio of the numbers

168÷12=14

AB =14

Break the product in multiple

14=1*14

14= 2*7

Now see we get only two cases

In first case: numbers are 12*1 =12 and 14*12 = 168

Diff is 168 -12 =156 so these two numbers didn't satisfy the condition of the difference between no 60

In second case numbers are 12*2 =24, and 12*7=84

Diff of the numbers is 84–24=60 it satisfy the condition

So the numbers are 24 and 64

So the total of the number 24+64=88
