The door of the scientist’s room remained closed at all times, and he got very angry if anyone left it opened. The scientist always kept the room locked.  When the landlord and his wife saw that the door was of the scientist’s room were opened they were very surprised and thought that unless something extraordinary had happened the door would not have been opened as it was against the character of the scientist. The bedclothes, the bandages and the ordinary clothes were lying here and there.
