Let the supplementary angles be x and y (x>y)
Then. x+y=180. ………(1)
Now according to the question,
x-y=18. ………(2)
y=x-18. ………(3)
Substituting value of y from equation (3) in equ. (1)
We get
x+y=180
x+x-18=180
2x-18=180
2x=180+18
2x=198
x=198/2
x=99
Substituting value x in equation (3)
y=x-18
y=99-18
y=81
The required angles are 99 and 81

Step-by-step explanation:

HLW MATE HERE IS YOUR CORRECT ANSWER.......

Let the larger angle be 'x' and the smaller one be 'y'

ATQ,

x =y +18 ---------------------(1)

We know that, sum of supplementary angles =180°

x+y=180°---------------------(2)

SUBSTITUTE x=y+18 in eq (2)

y+18+y=180°

2y=180-18

2y=162

y=162/2

✓y=81

x=81+18

=99

THEREFORE,

THE ANGLES ARE 81 AND 99
