The larger of two supplementary angles exceeds the smaller by

Let, the first angle be x°.

Then, the second angle will be (x-48°).

Since, the angles are supplementary.

So,

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x + x  -   {48}^{o}  =  {180}^{o}  \\ 2x =  {180}^{o}  +  {48}^{o}  \\ x =  \frac{ {228}^{o} }{2}  =  {114}^{o}

∴ First Angle = x = 114°

Second Angle = x - 48° = 66°
