The largest types of ‘blood cells’ are the monocytes.  

Explanation:

The Erythrocytes are smaller than the white blood cells. Amongst the various white blood cells the ‘monocytes’ are the largest. The monocytes are the cells that are capable of differentiating into macrophages. Their size is about 20 µm (micro meter).  

They are active and large in number at the places of chronic infection, cancer, any inflammatory disorders or autoimmune diseases.
