102-78=24

102-30=72

78-30 =48

hcf of 24,72,48

24=> 2×2×2×3
72=> 2×2×2×3×3
48=>2×2×2×2×3

So HCF is 24

24 is the largest number which have same remainder

Answer:

The required largest number is 24.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The largest numbers which divides 30, 78 and 102 to leave the same remainder in each case.

To find : The number?

Solution :

First we find the difference between these numbers.

The required numbers are

78-30=48

102-78=24

102-30=72

Now, We find the HCF of 24, 48 and 72.

24=2\times 2\times 2\times 3

48=2\times 2\times 2\times 2\times 3

72=2\times 2\times 2\times 3\times 3

HCF(24,48,92)=2\times2\times 2\times 3=24

Therefore, The required largest number is 24.
