Hey mate!!Here's your answer!!

THE LAST PHASE OF BRITISH EXPENSION

After establishing a strong foothold in Bengal, the East India company now looked for further expansion in India. British territorial expansion was achieved with ruthless efficiency.

They adopted two methods for expansion. First was by direct military attacks which they rarely followed. Usually the indirect methods were more popular like introducing policies to increase its influence and letter annexing the kingdom. The company continued experience resistance from local users during its expansion.

  • Annexation of Awadh in 1857
  • Annexation of Punjab in 1849
  • Annexation of Sindh in 1843
