the lateral surface are of a hollow cylinder is 4224 cm square, it is cut along it's height and formed a rectangular sheet of width 33 cm. find the perimeter of rectangular sheet .

here's ur answer...

the CSA of the cylinder is 4224cm² and it's cut along is height and form a rectangular sheet.

therefore the area of the rectangular sheet will be the area of CSA of the hollow cylinder.

so area of the rectangular sheet is 4224cm².

breadth (width) of the rectangular sheet is 33cm.

therefore length×breadth=4224cm²

→ length × 33 = 4224cm²

→ length = 4224/33

→ length = 128cm

★ VERIFICATION ★

area of rectangular sheet=l×b

=128×33

=4224cm²

hence verified

thus the length of the rectangular sheet is 128cm.

perimeter of the rectangular sheet = 2 (l + b )

= 2 ( 128 + 33 )

= 2 × 161

= 322cm
