The lateral surface area of a cuboid is 224 cm2. Its height is 7 cm and the base is a square. Find a side of the square base and the volume of the cuboid

Here, 2(l+b)h = 224 cm2
l+b = 16 cm2
2l = 16 cm2
l = 8 cm2
Hence, side of the square is 8 cm2
Now, volume = 8×8×7 = 448 cm3.
