Given:-

  • Lateral surface area(LSA) = 94.2cm²
  • Height = 5cm

To Find:-

  • Radius of it's base.
  • It's volume

Formula used:-

\large \blue{\underline{ \green{ \boxed{\bf{ \maltese \red{Lateral \: surface \:area_{cylinder}  = 2\pi rh}}}}}}

\large \blue {\underline{ \green{ \boxed{\bf{ \maltese \red{Volume  _{cylinder}  = \pi {r}^{2} h}}}}}}

Solution:-

We can use the Lateral surface area of cylinder to find Lateral surface area of cylinder.

\large\underline{\bf{ \longmapsto2\pi rh = 94.2 {cm}^{2} }}

\large\underline{\bf{ \longmapsto2 \times 3.14 \times r \times 5cm = 94.2 {cm}^{2} }}

\large\underline{\bf{ \longmapsto r =  \frac{94.2 }{ 3.14\times 5 \times 2} }}

\large \blue{\underline{ \green{ \boxed{\bf{ \red{ \implies3cm}}}}}}

Now we have to find the volume of cylinder.

\large\underline{\bf{ \longmapsto3.14 \times  {(3cm)}^{2} \times 5 }}

\large\underline{\bf{ \longmapsto 3.14 \times 9cm^2 \times 5cm}}

\large \green{\underline{ \blue{ \boxed{\bf{ \pink{ \implies141.3 {cm}^{3} }}}}}}
