Given that

Lateral surface area of cylinder is

94.2 {cm}^{2}

Radius of cylinder is 3cm

To find

Height of cylinder

Solution

Let

r is radius of cylinder

a is lateral surface area of cylinder

h is height of cylinder

As we know that

a = 2\pi \times r \times h

we get

94.2 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 3 \times h

By multiplication we get

94.2 =  \frac{132}{7}  \times h

Swap the value from Left hand side to right hand side we get

h =  \frac{94.2 \times 7}{132}

by multiplication and division we get

h = 4.9954cm

hence

Height of cylinder is 4.9954cm.
