the lateral surface area of hollow cylinder is 6600m . it is cut along its height and fprmed a rectangular sheet of width 30cm. Find the perimeter of rectangular sheet

  • Lateral Surface area of cylinder = 6600 m²
  • Width of rectangle = 30 cm = 30/100 m = 0.3 m

To find:

→ Perimeter = ?

Method:

Here,

CSA of hollow cylinder is converted into Rectangle.

CSA of cylinder = Area of rectangle

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

⇒ 6600 = Length × 0.3

⇒ Length = 6600 ÷ 0.3

⇒ Length = 22000 m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

⇒ Perimeter = 2(22000 + 0.3)

⇒ Perimeter = 2(22000.3)

Perimeter = 44000.6 m

∴ Perimeter of rectangle = 44000.6 m
