The law of contract allows the drawing up of an agreement between two or more parties. The contract makes it obligatory for parties to abide by the terms of the contract. Typically, the tasks are defined; on fulfilment of the contract the consideration to be transacted is also spelt out. So, the law of contract spells out both the terms of the agreement as well as the obligation and not one alone.
