two sides of a triangle are 6 centimetre and 8 centimetre height of the triangle corresponding to 6 centimetres height is 4 cm find area of the triangle height of the triangle corresponding to 8 centimetres height

area of the triangle = base* corresponding height/2

1) base = 6cm, corresponding height = 4cm
area = (6*4)/2 = 12 cm²----(1)
2) base = 8cm, area = 12 cm² [from (1) same triangle]
let corresponding side =h

(8*h)/2 =12
h= 12*2/8
h=24/8
h= 3 cm
