The LCM of two number is 14times their HCF. The sum of LCM and HCF is 600. If one number is 280,then find the other number

Then, x=14y

We know that LCM×HCF=Product of the numbers

 (x)×(y)=280×z

14y×y=280z

14y²=280z

 y²=20z  → (1)

Also,

x+y=600

14y+y=600

15y=600

y=40

Substituting this in (1)

40²=20z

1600=20z

z=80

So, the other number is 80

LCM=14X

ATQ

14X+X=600

15x=600

X=600/15=40

hcf =40Lcm =14*40=560

product of no.s =hcf*lcm

280*y=40*560. (let other no be y)

y=40*560/280=80.
