Solution:

Let us consider that the number must be added is y.

7x + y / 13x + y = 2 / 3

21x + 3y = 26x + 2y

5x = 1y

x / y = 1 / 5

If we multiply (1) with 7x : 13x we can get actual values 7 and 13.

If we add 5 to it we get 12 : 18

i.e 2 : 3

So number to be added to 7 : 3 is 5.
