The leaves of plant first prepare Glucose by photosynthesis. Glucose then gets converted into Starch.

Explanation:

The green plants with help of sunlight, water and other required nutrients prepare food by process called photosynthesis which occurs in the leaves. The chemical reaction involved in photosynthesis is:

 \bold{CO_{ 2 }+H_{ 2 }O\ \underrightarrow { Sunlight/Chlorophyll }\ C_{ 6 }H_{ 1 }2O_{ 6 }+O_{ 2 }}

The glucose formed in this reaction is converted into starch by adding more number of glucose molecules and this used for supplying energy to the plants.
