the lengh of two ropes are in ratio 5:7 find the length of shorter rope if the longer one is 22.5m.

longer=22.5m
7x=22.5m
x=22.5/7m
5x =22.5×5/7
length of shorter rope =112.5/7m

Let the longest rope be 7x

and shoter rope be 5x

Then,

7x=22.5m (given)

x=22.5/7

x=3.21

∴5x=5×3.21=16.05m
