ANSWER :

Dimensions are 21 m and 63 m.

EXPLANATION :

Given:-

  • The length of a rectangular park is thrice its breadth.
  • The perimeter of the park is 168 metres.

To find :-

  • Dimensions of the rectangular park.

Solution :-

Let the breadth of the rectangular park be x m.

The length of a rectangular park is thrice its breadth.

So Length = 3x m.

We know ,

{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter\:of\: rectangle = 2(Length+\: Breadth)}}}

So, Perimeter = 2(l+b)

→ Perimeter = 2(3x+x) m

→ Perimeter = 8x m

According to the question,

8x = 168

→ x = 168/8

x = 21

So, Breadth = 21 m.

Length = (3×21) = 63 m.

VERIFICATION :-

Length = 63 m

Breadth = 21 m

Perimeter = 2(63+21) m

→ Perimeter = 168 m
