the length and breadth of 3 rectangle are given below. find which one has greater perimeter and which one has least area.
(a) 10 m and 6 m
(b) 20 m and 10 m
(c) 15 m and 5 m

perimeter of first rectangle
2(l+b)
2(10+6)
20+12
=32m

perimeter of second rectangle
2(l+b)
2(20+10)
40+20
=60m

perimeter of third rectangle
2(l+b)
2(15+5)
30+10
=40m

from above rectangle no.2 have largest perimeter

area of first rectangle
=l×b
=10×6
=60 sq.m

area of second rectangle
=l×b
=20×10
=200 sq.m

area of third rectangle
=l×b
=15×5
=75 sq.m

from above
rectangle no.1 have least area

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

Area of a rectangle =l*b

Perimeter of a :-

2*(10+6)=

2*16=

32m

Area of a :-

10*6=

60m^2

Perimeter of b :-

2*(20+10)=

2*30=

60m

Area of b :-

20*10=

200m^2

Perimeter of c :-

2(15+5)=

2(20)=

40m

Area of c :-

15*5=

75m^2

Greatest perimeter is 60 cm

Least area is 200 m^2
