The length and breadth of a park are in the ratio 2:1 and it's perimeter is 240m.a path 2m wide runs inside it,along it's boundary.find the cost of having the path at RS 80 per m square

and breadth=1x
so perimeter =2*(l+b)
2*2x+1x=2*3x=6x
given perimeter240m therefore=6x=240m
x=240/6m=40m
length=2*40=80m
breadth=1*40=40m

now area of path = length of the park*width of path
=80m*2m=160m²
cost of having the path = 160m²*80rs/m²
