The length and breadth of a playground are 80 m and 35 m respectively.
(i) How long will a boy take to go three times round the field, if he walks at rate of 15 m per second?

Perimeter of the field = 2( l + b )
= 2 ( 80+35 ) m
= 2 × 115m
= 230 m
Now, the boy rounds the field 3 times. So, we need to multiply 3 to 230 m.
230×3 m. = 690m.
The boy walks at rate of 15 m per second.
So, he will take 690/15 sec.
= 46 sec.

Therefore, the correct answer is 46 sec.
